The No Points for Style Bad Ass Blogger Award is given for just one thing: bloggish bad-assery. If you read my blog, you know how highly I value honesty – the kind where a blogger spills her or his guts in such a way that we all remember that we’re never, ever alone in the world. This award is for bloggers who write posts that cut right to the heart of the human experience. It doesn’t have to be tragic or devastating or earth-shattering (though it may be); it just has to be real.
This award has no timetable; I won’t be awarding one every week or X number every year. If I see 5 deserving blog posts in one week, they’ll all get the award. If I don’t see any for several months, then I’ll keep them all for myself.
If you receive this award? Don’t panic! There are no requirements, no rules, no hoops. The code is coming up next and you can put the award on your blog (but you don’t have to), and I’ll link to the post for which you won the award on this page. That’s it, that’s all, the end. You don’t have to pass it on (In fact, if you do, I’ll kick your ass because it’s my award.) or anything else.
So next time you read a blog post that makes you think, “Holy shit, that blogger is a total bad ass! What courage! What chutzpa! I am eleven kinds of inspired!”, drop me a line here. When people eviscerate themselves in public, they deserve to be thanked.
Here is the code for the Bad Ass Blogger Award:
